Pre-matric dance photo shoot

Last week I was hired (by my boss) to photograph a couple of youngsters before they headed off to their matric dance at my old school, Fairmont High in Durbanville.

There were two parts to the shoot. First stop was at Altydgedacht Wine Farm near Durbanville. I arrived to find my boss' son Mark and his date for the dance, Talia, busy with a photo shoot by a photographer hired by Talia's family, which I didn't expect. I kept my distance until they were done then I took over and did my shoot under some trees and in a spectacular field of flowers. This took about half an hour. Talia was a treat to shoot, very photogenic and beautiful girl.

Then, I took Mark and we headed down the road to the D'Aria wine estate, we left Talia behind at Altydgedacht waiting for her dad to collect her.

At D'Aria we hooked up with Mark's family, and his girlfriend all dolled up for some photo's. I then proceeded to photograph Mark and his girlfriend, then later with his family and some mates from school.

The whole setup was rather odd, but anyway, I wasn't hired to comment! I'm quite happy with the resulting images, below is a selection:
