My two burgers had chicken livers fried with onions, garlic, peri peri sauce and balsamic vinegar. And oh my glory it was close to the nicest burgers I've ever tasted. If they were made with my own famous patties they certainly would rate easily at the top!
Understandably it wouldn't be everybody's taste, especially the chicken livers part, but I like them if they're cooked properly and not bland and dry. But then again I'll vainly admit I have a more exciting and adventurous taste in food than most people! I'll eat just about anything, as long as it's dead and preferably cooked, and it's not been near a brinjil (eggplant).
Damn this PC is so slow today! I think the computers memory is getting virtual alzheimers, or amnesia, because it's not handling much! CPU is fine, rarely clocks over 25%. But I need another gig of memory!
So who's coming to my gig on Friday? In case you forgot, I'm the drummer for The Pits, and this Friday we're gigging at Club Voom Voom, 70 Loop Street, Cape Town. We'll be on at around 10pm. The gig is a 50's theme. We're a Psycho Rock & Roll kind of outfit, the band opening for us, The Ratrod Cats, is a proper Rockabilly band, and DJ Fred is jamming out tunes from the 50's era the rest of the night! It would really be awesome if some of my friends or family would turn up. So many people make farts in the wind every time about coming to one of my gigs and very few ever turn up. If ever people do want to see us live this would be a good one because we're playing at a theme night reminiscent of our songwriters influence in music and the backbone of what we do. So please, come along, and bring EVERYBODY!
Just watched the video of our last band practice. We are sounding great! On Friday lunch time I'm off to the music store Paul Bothners in Cavendish to invest in some new Vic Firth 7A drum sticks and some new skins, a fresh sound for Friday's gig.
Well I'm off to bed now, with a glass of Eno on the way to quench the heartburn furnace in my stomach.
Hope the chicken livers were really hot, now how about adding a little smoked bacon....
